MALONE SIBUN BAND

 I had originally invited Marcus Malone back to Bluefunk on the strength a fabulous performance he gave for us shortly after we came back to the Legion. He is a superb singer, often compared to the legends of the past e.g. Otis Redding, Paul Rodgers.  It is no surprise when you consider he grew up in Motown itself, Detroit. How could he not absorb that legacy. He shares with us a nomination on the UK Blues Awards unsurprisingly for Best Male Vocalist.

Marcus' band was notably excellent but it got a whole lot moreso when he  teamed up with the superb guitarist Innes Sibun. Known for his sterling work with Robert Plant, recording and touring the world with his band. He more recently was instrumental in bringing Sari Schorr and the Engine Room to  prominence in the British blues world (which is where we first met Innes in  2018)

Upon meeting with Marcus they both felt their musical chemistry and coincident direction of their mutual journeys was too powerful to ignore. The upshot being - Ladies and gentlemen I give you the MALONE SIBUN BAND.
