JOSH SMITH

If you have watched the video above there can't be much left to be said. Mr Smith is a virtuoso blues player ranked rightly with the likes of Matt Schofield, Eric Gales, Derek Trucks, Gary Clarke Junior, Bonamassa and any one else who can be considered off the top shelf of the current crop of guitar saviours of the blues. He simply has to be on a bucket list of must sees for anyone calling themselves a fan of real blues guitar. I personally can't wait to tick this one off, he's a bloody genius. 

Coronabastard and what followed delayed this for 6 years. The dreaded virus knocked everyone out for the duration of lockdown so it was no surprise to lose our booking with Josh.
He was quick to rebook with us  after restrictions were lifted but then what happened was massively disappointing but on reflection no surprise.
Josh's phone rang and Mr Jo Bonamassa announced he was Touring Europe extensively and he wanted Josh to join him as his right hand man!
Unsurprisingly, Josh said yes and his own tour was quashed.
Can't blame him for that as it has predictably elevated him rapidly up the pecking order of axemen right across Europe, purely due to the exposure. Hail Bonamassa! 
This time when the call came in I was offered Not one but 2 nights back to back!  Hardly going to say no was I.  Echoes of the Billy Walton band.  It will be very special and should be very doable considering his rapidly rising star.


If anyone gets in the way of this  again I'll kill 'em.
