Geoff Achison and the UK Souldiggers

I am unapologetically overjoyed to be presenting this incredible guitarist to Bluefunk once again. I could not stop thinking about him for days after his debut visit to us 18 months ago. Very much my kind of player, understated yet energetic and powerful without having to rely on volume. Skill is what counts and Geoff has it in spades. He also has quite a collection of PRS guitars by whom he is endorsed, enough in fact to fill an art gallery. His playing style reminds me at times of the guvnor, Jeff Beck. An all-time hero of mine, so that'll do for me. 

Geoff Achison is an award winning blues-roots artist from Australia known for his unique guitar mastery and totally original delivery.  Geoff began his apprenticeship with legendary Australian bluesman 'Dutch' Tilders establishing himself as a fine lead guitarist before striking out with his own band. He released his debut album in the early 90s and began touring throughout the USA, UK & Europe.  Considered a must-see by those fortunate enough to have already done so.

Feted in his home country, where he has won awards for his guitar playing, songwriting and live performances and was honoured in 2011 as official Patron Of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society.
