There can be little to say about Victor that has not been said a thousand times or more. He is a genuine British Blues Legend, elevated into 'The Blues Greats'  gallery at the British Blues Awards 2014 to acknowledge the status he undoubtedly deserves.

Victor's Blues Train was the very first blues band I personally ever saw live, back in the late 60s. In consequence he can be held responsible for my lifelong love of the genre.

On this auspicious occasion Victor will be joined by his 'A' team band, The Blues Train. Few bands I have seen can provide the level of prowess as can be seen here. Bo Lee on Bass, Phil Considine on drums, Clive 'Blues Boy' Mellor on harmonica and 'Sir' Billy Buckley on guitars and lap steel.

Victor has visited Bluefunk as a player and also as a customer many times (he loves what we do) and when his daughter, the incredible Kyla Brox (in many people's opinion the best female blues singer of her generation), played for us he was in the audience and when he joined her on stage the room lit up.

On this occasion not only Kyla will be joining Victor but also her husband Danny and most of the rest of the hugely talented Brox family.

This being such a special occasion and with the esteem Victor is held in by the Blues world I would not be at all surprised if many other players get in touch wishing to come along to pay homage to the man and maybe swap a few licks. Sadly Jimi Hendrix, who held Vic in very high esteem (genuine fact) won't be coming but has sent a card, (via Moonpig obviously).
