Tantrum

Tantrum. You could call me a superfan of these guys. They were one of the earliest bands I booked for Bluefunk. It was quite some time ago and Jamie Walker (guitar) must have been about 16/17yrs old and quite brilliant, even back then. They have become extraordinary musicians with an unusual schizoprenic persona. They have become a kind of superhero with an alter ego.
They started life as Tantrum, a blues band, dragged themselves around the UK and all over Europe playing massive festivals (eg Bospop, Holland) blagging their way in and generally punching way above their weight but totally nailing it every time.
Then they decided they wanted to be a crossover electronic/bluesy dance rock band and called themselves the Feud. Believe me when I tell you that the Feud is an incredible band. A total tour de force.
The blues community however, misses Tantrum, so occasionally they nip into a phone box and re-emerge dressed as Tantrum.
They noticed Bluefunk was back in Poynton and called me. "Would I like Tantrum to return to Bluefunk?" You bet your sweet bippy I would.
