Nick Steed is an absurdly good keyboardist and that observation is borne out by the fact that he is in constant demand to tour or session for a huge list of world class artists and bands throughout the globe. As I write he is touring in Europe with The Norman Beaker Band and upon his return will play the Carlisle Blues Festival with the Nick Steed 5.

 

He is blessed with a superb band of players who are equally in demand elsewhere as well. It comes as no surprise that he has eventually established a band under his own name.  It was inevitable. 

 

With one highly acclaimed album under his belt demonstrating his excessively fine musical credentials (and those of his band) it has also let the cat out of the bag on his songwriting expertise.

 

What is extra special for me is that all this was right under our noses. Nick is a Stockport lad and Pete Mason (his guitarist) is an old friend of mine from Macclesfield. 

I am chuffed to bits to present to you the Nick Steed 5.
