The Unscene Herd

 This band's existence is the result of an extraordinary incidence of serendipity. It happened by a stroke of luck when I wanted the Purpletones (Trish's other vehicle) to do a show. It was not possible, but Trish ran the idea for this band by me (at that point it did not exist and its members did not know they were in it) and being a huge fan of hers I took a well informed punt on the Unscene Herd. They arrived for their world debut with one rehearsal under their collective belt.
 
What we got was beyond hyperbole. I cannot over stress how brilliant it was. Happily I don't have to because we recorded the whole thing. What we have is a live album as good as any I have heard.
Bluefunk is no stranger to world class guitar players but to those people unfamiliar with Trish in full on blues mode you are in for a shock. 
 
Here's a sample of what I mean. Use headphones or hook up the hi-fi, don't waste it. Listen very carefully there is a lot going on. Trish's lead playing is outrageously good but her rhythm playing when the band steps up is off the planet and the band just owns it...............and there's loads more where this comes from, and no you can't have any more..........yet. Niall Rodgers eat your heart out!
