The great Ian Siegal celebrates 25 years as a professional musician with the release of a new Band album 'All The Rage' and the second part of a UK wide Band tour which started in back in April. The first part was pretty much a sell out back to back. This part is exclusively for Bluefunk. Yes the Ian Siegal band is flying in just for a festival and will visit us for their one and only club gig
For me this culminates what has been a 5 year quest to to make this happen. Ian has graced Bluefunk with his solo presence at most of the venues we have operated in and frankly he seems incapable of disappointing with his performances.  Just when you think you have seen him at his best he returns and tops it. I adore what he does as a soloist but it has long been my ambition to bring him to Bluefunk with his band. At last it happens.
Probably the most 'decorated' British Bluesman in history, Ian arrives finally with his internationally renowned band from the Netherlands who call themselves 'The Rhythm Chiefs'.
If I don't actually tell anyone about this, IT WILL STILL SELL OUT.
Don't mess about, BOOK IT.
This is just a sample of why I am excited about this. Just get a load of this Dusty Ciggaar fella on guitar, gives me goose bumps

Ally Dickaty may be viewed as a massive bonus addition to what was always going to be a perfect gig.

I have known Ally since he was an energetic, tormented kid with an overload of talent trying to find his place in the world of music where he so obviously belonged. Even back then he had a magic pen which spewed forth words which left you stunned and wondering where those mature, sometimes dark but always moving words were coming from. I remember at one time seeing a spark and quality of early Dylan in his writing, so weighty were his themes.

Raised on a healthy diet of blues and blues rock by his dad it was inevitable that this mix would eventually produce a vehicle for Ally's product to be delivered by. Ally is a founder member of the Virginmarys, one of the best rock bands by far that has ever been produced on our home turf. Gathering a huge fan base touring the world with them, Ally is now, whilst still a young man, the finished article. He remains incredibly sensitive and a little tormented by what he sees going on around him, which forms his view of the world. Long may he be so; its what gives his pen its edge.

Like Mr Siegal, Ally performs with the passion of someone who truly believes in what he is doing. Stripped back, without his band, this will be a glimpse into the soul of the man. An intense night beckons.
